ELECTRONIC SHIFT LEVER SYSTEM UTILITY


  1. ALL READINESS

    Tech Tips


    • With "All Readiness", you can use the GTS to check whether the DTC judgment has been completed.

    • Perform the "All Readiness" check after simulating malfunction symptoms or when performing validation after finishing repairs.


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Clear the DTCs even if no DTCs are stored.


      Powertrain > Transmission > Clear DTCs

    5. Turn the engine switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.

    6. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    7. Turn the GTS on.

    8. Perform the DTC confirmation driving pattern to run the DTC judgment.

    9. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Transmission / Utility / All Readiness.


      Powertrain > Transmission > Utility
      Tester Display
      All Readiness

    10. Input the DTCs to be confirmed.

    11. Check the DTC judgment result.

      GTS Display Description
      NORMAL

      • DTC judgment completed

      • System normal
      ABNORMAL

      • DTC judgment completed

      • System abnormal
      INCOMPLETE

      • DTC judgment not completed

      • Perform the driving pattern after confirming DTC enabling conditions
      N/A

      • Unable to perform DTC judgment

      • Number of DTCs which do not fulfill DTC preconditions has reached ECU memory limit

      • Perform the driving pattern after confirming DTC enabling conditions

      If the judgment result shows INCOMPLETE or N/A, perform the DTC confirmation driving pattern again.

    12. Turn the engine switch off.

  2. CHECK FOR DIAGNOSIS RELATED INFORMATION


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Transmission / Utility / Diagnosis Related Information.


      Powertrain > Transmission > Utility
      Tester Display
      Diagnosis Related Information

    5. Check the diagnosis related information and freeze frame data, and then write them down.

  3. Tech Tips

    Clearing the DTCs will also clear the diagnosis related information.

    CLEAR DIAGNOSIS RELATED INFORMATION


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Transmission / Clear DTCs.


      Powertrain > Transmission > Clear DTCs

    5. Clear the diagnosis related information and freeze frame data.
