DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the combination meter assembly detects a No. 2 fuel sender gauge assembly malfunction via a direct line.

When IG voltage is 9.5 V or more and the following condition is detected:


  • Average input signal of fuel sender gauge assembly is 630 Ω or more 3 times consecutively


  • Harness or connector

  • No. 2 fuel sender gauge assembly

  • Combination meter assembly

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

When replacing the combination meter assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a combination meter assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in it will not match the information from the vehicle and a DTC may be stored.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (FUEL INPUT)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the X32 No. 2 fuel sender gauge assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the P25 combination meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      X32-3 (FR2) - P25-27 (FR) Always Below 1 Ω
      X32-2 (FE2) - P25-28 (FE) Always Below 1 Ω
