MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note


  • If the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly with a new one.

  • When the front bumper assembly, radiator grille, millimeter wave radar sensor assembly or No. 1 millimeter wave radar sensor bracket is replaced, check that the position of the manual axis switching mechanism is standard (center).

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY


    1. B000Z4XC02
      *a Manual axis switching mechanism
      *b Bolt

      Set beam axis to the standard position.


      1. Turn the bolt so that the beam axis change mechanism is positioned as shown in the illustration.

        Specified Condition
        Difference between (A) and (B)
        1 mm (0.0394 in.) or less
        Torque:
        1.5 N*m  { 15 kgf*cm, 13 in.*lbf }

        Tech Tips

        Adjust so that the error in the dimensions (A and B) in the illustration is within 1 mm.

      B000XM7 Screw
      B000TT4 Bolt

      Attach the guide.

    3. Temporarily install the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 screws.

    4. Tighten the 2 bolts and 2 screws in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      Bolt
      2.5 N*m  { 25 kgf*cm, 22 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER

  3. ADJUST MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY


    1. When the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is replaced, or the No. 1 millimeter wave radar sensor bracket is removed/installed, adjust the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.
