PCV VALVE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT PCV VALVE


    1. Install a clean hose to the PCV valve.

    2. Check PCV valve operation.

        *a Clean Hose
        *b Air
        B000XM7 Case Separator Side

        Blow air into the case separator side, and check that air passes through easily.

        CAUTION:


        • When inspecting the PCV valve, do not suck air through the valve.

        • There are blow-by gas substances remaining inside the PCV valve that are harmful to inhale.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the PCV valve.

        *a Clean Hose
        *b Air
        B000XM7 Intake Air Surge Tank Assembly Side

        Blow air into the intake air surge tank assembly side, and check that air passes through with difficulty.

        CAUTION:


        • When inspecting the PCV valve, do not suck air through the valve.

        • There are blow-by gas substances remaining inside the PCV valve that are harmful to inhale.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the PCV valve.

    3. Remove the clean hose from the PCV valve.
