FUEL TANK CAP INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUEL TANK CAP ASSEMBLY (w/ Canister Pump Module)

   
   
   1. 

      *1	Fuel Tank Cap Gasket

      Visually check that the fuel tank cap assembly and fuel tank cap gasket are not deformed or damaged.

      If the fuel tank cap assembly or fuel tank cap gasket is deformed or damaged, replace it.

   2. 

      *a

      ID Mark

      Confirm that ID mark V is printed on the fuel tank cap assembly.

      Note

      Make sure to use a fuel tank cap assembly that has the correct ID mark, or a malfunction may occur in the fuel system.

2. INSPECT FUEL TANK CAP ASSEMBLY (w/o Canister Pump Module)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Fuel Tank Cap Gasket

      Visually check that the fuel tank cap assembly and gasket are not deformed or damaged.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel tank cap assembly or fuel tank cap gasket.
