CANISTER(w/o Canister Pump Module) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FUEL OUTLET VALVE ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the hose to the fuel outlet valve assembly, and slide the clamp to secure the hose.

    2. Attach the claw and fuel outlet valve assembly to the No. 2 charcoal canister bracket.

    3. Install the fuel outlet valve assembly to the charcoal canister assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    4. Connect the hose to the charcoal canister assembly, and slide the clamp to secure the hose.

      Push the fuel tank fuel main tube connector to the fuel outlet valve assembly and push in the retainer to attach the lock claws.

      Note


      • Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the connecting parts of the tube connector and pipe (fuel outlet valve assembly) before performing this work.

      • After connecting the fuel main tube connector, check that the fuel main tube connector is securely connected by pulling on the tube connector.

  2. INSTALL CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY


    1. Attach the clip and set the charcoal canister assembly to the body.

    2. Install the charcoal canister assembly to the body with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    3. Connect the fuel emission hose to the fuel tube, and slide the clamp to secure the hose.

  3. CONNECT FUEL SUCTION TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      B000TT4 Push

      Push the fuel suction tube sub-assembly to the fuel main tube connector and push in the retainer to attach the lock claws.

      Note


      • Check that there are no scratches or foreign matter around the connecting parts of the tube connector and pipe (fuel main tube connector) before performing this work.

      • After connecting the fuel suction tube sub-assembly, check that the fuel suction tube sub-assembly is securely connected by pulling on the tube connector.

  4. CONNECT CHARCOAL CANISTER OUTLET HOSE


    1. Connect the charcoal canister outlet hose to the charcoal canister assembly, and slide the clamp to secure the hose.

    2. Connect the charcoal canister outlet hose to the fuel outlet valve assembly, and slide the clamp to secure the hose.

  5. INSTALL MAIN MUFFLER HEAT INSULATOR


    1. Install the main muffler heat insulator to the body with the 9 nuts and 2 clips.

      Torque:
      4.9 N*m  { 50 kgf*cm, 43 in.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY
