CANISTER(w/o Canister Pump Module) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE MAIN MUFFLER HEAT INSULATOR

   
   

   1. 

      Detach the 2 clips and remove the 9 nuts and main muffler heat insulator from the body.

3. DISCONNECT CHARCOAL CANISTER OUTLET HOSE

   
   

   1. 

      Slide the clamp and disconnect the charcoal canister outlet hose from the charcoal canister assembly.

   2. Slide the clamp and disconnect the charcoal canister outlet hose from the fuel outlet valve assembly.

4. DISCONNECT FUEL SUCTION TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Disconnect the fuel suction tube sub-assembly from the fuel main tube connector.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Retainer
         	Pull

         Pinch the retainer to detach the lock claw and pull it.

         Note

         
         

         • Remove any dirt or foreign matter on the tube connector before performing this work.

         • Do not allow any scratches or foreign matter to get on the parts when disconnecting them as the tube connector has an O-ring that seals the pipe (fuel main tube connector).

         • Perform this work by hand. Do not use any tools.

         • Do not forcibly bend, twist or turn the fuel suction tube sub-assembly.

         • Protect the disconnected parts by covering them with plastic bags after disconnecting the fuel suction tube sub-assembly.

         • If the tube connector and pipe (fuel main tube connector) are stuck, push and pull to release them.

         Tech Tips

         Do not remove the retainer.

      2. Pull off the fuel suction tube sub-assembly from the pipe (fuel main tube connector).

5. REMOVE CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Slide the clamp and disconnect the purge line hose from the fuel tube.

   2. 

      Remove the 3 nuts.

   3. Detach the clip and remove the charcoal canister assembly from the body.

6. REMOVE FUEL OUTLET VALVE ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Remove the fuel main tube connector from the fuel outlet valve assembly.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Retainer
         	Pull

         Pinch the retainer to detach the lock claw and pull it.

         Tech Tips

         Do not remove the retainer.

      2. Pull off the fuel main tube connector from the pipe (fuel outlet valve assembly).

   2. 

      Slide the clamp and disconnect the hose from the charcoal canister assembly.

   3. 

      Remove the 2 nuts and fuel outlet valve assembly from the charcoal canister assembly.

   4. 

      Detach the claw and remove the fuel outlet valve assembly from the charcoal canister assembly.

   5. Slide the clamp and remove the hose from the fuel outlet valve assembly.
