PURGE VALVE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL PURGE VSV


    1. Install the purge VSV to the intake air surge tank assembly with the bolt.

      *1 Fuel Vapor Feed Hose *2 No. 1 Fuel Vapor Feed Hose
      *a 1 to 5 mm (0.0394 to 0.197 in.) *b 30° to 60°
      *c 40° to 60° *d 120°
      *e Paint Mark *f Upper
      *g Under *h Back
      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Make sure the direction of the purge VSV is as shown in the illustration.

    2. Connect the purge VSV connector.

    3. Connect the No. 1 fuel vapor feed hose to the purge VSV and slide the clip to secure it.

      Tech Tips

      Engage the clip within the area shown in the illustration.

    4. Connect the fuel vapor feed hose to the purge VSV and slide the clip to secure it.

      Tech Tips

      Engage the clip within the area shown in the illustration.

    5. Install the wire harness bracket to the intake air surge tank assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    6. Attach the clamp and connect the wire harness to the wire harness bracket.
