ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR


    1. Install a new gasket to the engine oil temperature sensor.

    2. B000UBPC01
      *a 22 mm Ball Joint Lock Nut Wrench
      *b Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

      Using a 22 mm ball joint lock nut wrench, install the engine oil temperature sensor to the oil filter bracket sub-assembly.

      Torque:
      Specified tightening torque
      39.2 N*m  { 400 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      If the engine oil temperature sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      Tech Tips


      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

      • When using a ball joint lock nut wrench (fulcrum length of 150 mm (5.906 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 180 mm (7.087 in.)): 21.4 N*m (218 kgf*cm, 16 ft.*lbf)

    3. Connect the engine oil temperature sensor connector.

  2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY

  3. CONNECT NO. 2 PCV HOSE

  4. CONNECT NO. 3 PCV HOSE

    Click here

  5. ADD ENGINE OIL

    Click here

  6. CHECK ENGINE OIL LEVEL

  7. INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK

    Click here

  8. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR

    Click here

  9. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL LH

    Click here

  10. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL RH

  11. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
