IGNITION COIL AND SPARK PLUG REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the ignition coil and spark plug removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY


    1. B000UIMC01
      *A for Bank 1
      *B for Bank 2

      Disconnect the 8 ignition coil assembly connectors.

    2. Remove the 8 bolts and 8 ignition coil assemblies from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly and cylinder head cover sub-assembly LH.

      Note

      If an ignition coil assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.
