PROCEDURE
REMOVE ACCELERATOR PEDAL PAD
Detach the 4 claws to remove the accelerator pedal pad.
REMOVE ACCELERATOR PEDAL
Remove the 2 bolts and accelerator pedal.
REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)
REMOVE MAIN BODY ECU (for RHD)
REMOVE ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR ASSEMBLY
Note
Avoid excessive force to the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.
Do not disassemble the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.
This accelerator pedal does not require lubrication.
Do not apply oil or lubricant to the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.
If applied, the accelerator pedal sensor assembly must be replaced.
for LHD:
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the 3 nuts and accelerator pedal sensor assembly.
Note
Do not drop the accelerator pedal sensor assembly, strike it with tools or subject it to impact.
If the accelerator pedal sensor assembly is subjected to an impact, replace it with a new one.
for RHD:
Remove the stop light switch assembly.
Remove the nut A and nut B.
Remove the nut C accelerator pedal sensor assembly.
Note
Do not drop the accelerator pedal sensor assembly, strike it with tools or subject it to impact.
If the accelerator pedal sensor assembly is subjected to an impact, replace it with a new one.
Tech Tips
Depress and hold the foot brake using brake pedal pressure to ensure enough removal space for nut C.
Disconnect the accelerator pedal sensor assembly connector.
