THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM Glass Breakage Sensor Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the glass breakage sensor detects that the back door glass is tapped or broken, the sensor will set off the alarm for 30 seconds.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (Sealed Glas Brak Sen)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GLASS BREAKAGE SENSOR - MAIN BODY ECU [MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU] AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the P9 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Disconnect the X42 quarter window assembly RH (glass breakage sensor) connector.

    3. Disconnect the X43 quarter window assembly LH (glass breakage sensor) connector.

    4. Disconnect the eX1 No. 1 rear window wire connector.

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      P9-1 (GPBS) - X42-1 (SSR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      X42-2 (SSR-) - X43-1 (SSR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      X43-2 (SSR-) - eX1-4 Always Below 1 Ω
      eX1-2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      P9-1 (GPBS) or X42-1 (SSR+) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      X42-2 (SSR-) or X43-1 (SSR+) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      X43-2 (SSR-) or eX1-4 - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
