SUB BATTERY RELAY REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during backup relay removal/installation are shown below.

  1. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD

  2. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  13. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD BRACKET

    1. Loosen the bolt, nut and remove the No. 1 deck board bracket RH.

  16. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE ROOM RELAY BLOCK


    1. Loosen the nut and disconnect the positive (+) terminal of the sub-battery from the sub-battery module assembly.

    2. Remove the relay block cover.

    3. w/ Dynamic Rear Steering:

        *a Bolt
        *b Nut
        *c Ground Wire Bolt
        *d Ground Wire

        Lift up the lock lever and disconnect the connector of the DRS control ECU as shown in the illustration.

      2. Remove the bolt and ground wire.

      3. Loosen the 2 bolts and nut, and disconnect the No. 1 luggage room relay block.

      *b Nut

      w/o Dynamic Rear Steering:

      Loosen the 2 bolts and nut, and disconnect the No. 1 luggage room relay block.

    5. B000VTC

      Detach the 2 clamps and disconnect the No. 1 luggage room relay block harness from the luggage room panel.

  17. REMOVE BACKUP RELAY

      *a No. 1 Luggage Room Relay Block Left Side

      Detach the 7 claws and remove the relay block lower cover from the No. 1 luggage room relay block.

      *a No. 1 Luggage Room Relay Block Right Side

      Detach the 3 claws and disconnect the relay block assembly from the No. 1 luggage room relay block.

    3. B000W4UC02
      *a Backup Relay Terminal Side

      Loosen the bolt and nut and remove them from the backup relay terminal.

    4. Loosen the 2 bolts and remove them from the backup relay.

    5. Disconnect the connector from the backup relay.

    6. Detach the claw and remove the backup relay from the relay block assembly.
