  1. CUSTOMIZE LEXUS PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM


    1. Customizing with the GTS.

      Note


      • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.

      • Be sure to make a note of the current settings before customizing.

      • When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting.


      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      3. Turn the LEXUS parking assist-sensor system on.

      4. Turn the GTS on.

      5. Enter the following menus: Customize Setting.

      6. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

        Tester Display Description Default Setting ECU
        Fr Sensor Onset Range Sets the detection operation range for the front center sensors. Wide 0:Narrow,1:Wide Clearance warning ECU assembly
        Rr Sensor Onset Range Sets the detection operation range for the rear center sensors. Wide 0:Narrow,1:Wide Clearance warning ECU assembly
        Keep Sense Buzzer Sets whether the buzzer stops sounding when the distance between the vehicle and a detected object does not change for 3 seconds. Avail 0:Not Avail,1:Avail Clearance warning ECU assembly
        Fr & Rr Buzzer Volume Changes the buzzer volume setting. M 01:L,10:M,11:H Clearance warning ECU assembly

        Sensor
        Tester Display Description Default Setting ECU
        Sensor Condition N Engine running, makes the front sensors available when the shift position is in N. Avail 0:Not Avail,1:Avail Clearance warning ECU assembly
        Reverse Range Front Sensor Engine running, changes the operation setting for the vehicle front sensors when the shift position is in R. Fcrn 00:F,01:Fcrn,10:F Stop Clearance warning ECU assembly
        Non P/R Range Rear Sensor Engine running, changes the operation setting for the vehicle rear sensors when the shift position is not in P or R. R Stop 00:R,01:Rcrn,10:R Stop Clearance warning ECU assembly

      1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      2. Turn the LEXUS parking assist-sensor system on.

      3. Enter the following menus: MENU / Setup / Vehicle / LEXUS park assist.

      4. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

        Alert Volume Sets the buzzer alert volume. 2 1, 2, or 3 Clearance warning ECU assembly

        Distance

        Front

        Sets the detection operation range for the front center sensors. Green*2 Orange*1 or Green*2 Clearance warning ECU assembly

        Distance

        Rear

        Sets the detection operation range for the rear center sensors. Green*3 Orange*1 or Green*3 Clearance warning ECU assembly

        • *1: Detection range of 600 mm (23.6 in.)

        • *2: Detection range of 1000 mm (39.4 in.)

        • *3: Detection range of 1500 mm (59.1 in.)
