INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT
Tech Tips
When re-using the fan and generator V belt, check the entire circumference of the belt for wear and cracks on the ribs and rear side. Replace belts where wear and cracks have advanced to the wire core and belts with missing rib rubber.

Install the fan and generator V belt as shown in the illustration.
Note
Hook the back surface side of the fan and generator V belt onto the drive belt tensioner assembly and scavenging pump assembly.
Rotate the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly counterclockwise, and then remove the 5 mm bi-hexagon wrench.

Check that the fan and generator V belt is properly set to each pulley.
Start the engine and check that the fan and generator V belt turns smoothly and no abnormal noise occurs.
