DRIVE BELT REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL LH

    Click here

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL RH

    Click here

  4. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR

    Click here

  5. DISCONNECT NO. 2 PCV HOSE

    Click here

  6. DISCONNECT NO. 3 PCV HOSE

    Click here

  7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  8. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE

    Click here

  9. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

      B000WYJ Turn in this Direction

      Release the fan and generator V belt tension by turning the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly counterclockwise and remove the fan and generator V belt from the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly.

      Note

      Left-hand thread pulley set bolts are used so loosen the pulley set bolts by turning clockwise.

      *a 5 mm Bi-hexagon Wrench
      *b Hole

      Rotate the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly counterclockwise to align the holes and then insert a 5 mm bi-hexagon wrench to secure the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly in place.

    3. Remove the fan and generator V belt.
