THROTTLE BODY INSTALLATION

Tech Tips

Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the throttle body with motor assembly.


PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

      *1 No. 4 Water By-pass Hose
      *2 No. 5 Water By-pass Hose
      *a Paint Mark
      *b Down
      *c Front

      Connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose and No. 5 water by-pass hose to the throttle body with motor assembly and slide the 2 clips to secure the hoses.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure the direction of the clip is as shown in the illustration.

    2. B000VR1

      Temporarily install a new gasket and the throttle body with motor assembly to the intake air surge tank assembly with the 2 stud bolts.

      Note

      If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

    3. Using an E6 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the 2 stud bolts.

      Torque:
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

    4. Install the gasket and throttle body with motor assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    5. Connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the water inlet housing and slide the clip to secure the hose.

    6. Connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose to the front water by-pass joint and slide the clip to secure the hose.

    7. Connect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.

  2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the air cleaner hose assembly to the throttle body with motor assembly.

    2. Tighten the 4 hose clamps.

      Torque:
      4.0 N*m  { 41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf }

  3. CONNECT NO. 2 PCV HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 2 PCV hose the air cleaner hose assembly and slide the clip to secure the hose.

  4. CONNECT NO. 3 PCV HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 3 PCV hose to the air cleaner hose assembly and slide the clip to secure the hose.

  5. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

  6. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

  7. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR

  8. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL LH

  9. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL RH

  10. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
