Tech Tips

When installing the name plates or luggage compartment door emblem, heat the luggage compartment door panel and name plates or luggage compartment door emblem using a heat light.

Name Plate or Luggage Compartment Door Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

CAUTION:


  • Do not touch the heat light and heated parts, touching the heat light may result in burns.

  • Touching heated parts for a long time may result in burns.

Note

Do not heat the luggage compartment door panel, name plates or luggage compartment door emblem excessively.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR NAME PLATE


    1. Clean the luggage compartment door panel surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the luggage compartment door panel surface.

      2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the luggage compartment door panel.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Using a heat light, heat the luggage compartment door panel and a new No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate.

    3. Remove the release paper from the No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate.

      Tech Tips

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    4. Engage the 10 pins and install the No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate as shown in the illustration.

      Press the No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate firmly to install it.

  2. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR EMBLEM


    1. Clean the luggage compartment door panel surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the luggage compartment door panel surface.

      2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the luggage compartment door panel.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Using a heat light, heat the luggage compartment door panel and a new luggage compartment door emblem.

    3. Remove the release paper from the luggage compartment door emblem.

      Tech Tips

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    4. Engage the 2 pins and install the luggage compartment door emblem as shown in the illustration.

      Press the luggage compartment door emblem firmly to install it.

  3. INSTALL NO. 3 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PLATE


    1. Clean the luggage compartment door panel surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the luggage compartment door panel surface.

      2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the luggage compartment door panel.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Using a heat light, heat the luggage compartment door panel and a new No. 3 luggage compartment door plate.

    3. Remove the release paper from the No. 3 luggage compartment door plate.

      Tech Tips

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    4. Install the No. 3 luggage compartment door plate as shown in the illustration.

    1. Clean the luggage compartment door panel surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the luggage compartment door panel surface.

      2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the luggage compartment door panel.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Using a heat light, heat the luggage compartment door panel and a new No. 4 luggage compartment door name plate.

    3. Remove the release paper from the No. 4 luggage compartment door name plate.

      Tech Tips

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    4. Install the No. 4 luggage compartment door name plate as shown in the illustration.

      2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the luggage compartment door panel.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Using a heat light, heat the luggage compartment door panel and a new No. 7 luggage compartment door name plate.

    3. Remove the release paper from the No. 7 luggage compartment door name plate.

    4. Install the No. 7 luggage compartment door name plate as shown in the illustration.
