REAR BUMPER DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. Click here

   REMOVE REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)

   Click here

   Tip:

   Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

2. Click here

   REMOVE REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)

   Click here

   Tip:

   Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

3. Click here

   REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)

   
   
   1. 

      Disengage the 2 clamps to remove the No. 2 luggage room wire.

4. Click here

   REMOVE ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)

   
   
   1. 

      Remove the 2 ultrasonic sensor clips.

5. Click here

   REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH

   
   

   1. Remove the screw.

   2. 

      Disengage the claw and guide to remove the reflex reflector assembly LH.

6. Click here

   REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH

   Tip:

   Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

7. Click here

   REMOVE LOWER REAR BUMPER COVER (for Type A)

   
   
   1. 

      Remove the 2 screws.

   2. Remove the 2 clips.

   3. 

      Disengage the 12 claws to remove the lower rear bumper cover.

8. Click here

   REMOVE REAR BUMPER EXTENSION MOULDING LH (for Type B)

   
   
   1. 

      Disengage the 4 claws to remove the rear bumper extension moulding LH.

9. Click here

   REMOVE REAR BUMPER EXTENSION MOULDING RH (for Type B)

   Tip:

   Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

10. Click here

    REMOVE REAR BUMPER CORNER EXTENSION LH (for Type B)

    
    
    1. 

       Disengage the 4 claws and 4 guides to remove the rear bumper corner extension LH.

11. Click here

    REMOVE REAR BUMPER CORNER EXTENSION RH (for Type B)

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

12. Click here

    REMOVE REAR BUMPER PAD

       Remove the rear bumper pad.

       Tip:

       Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER ASSEMBLY

    Click here

    REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER TRAY

    Click here

    REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK

    Click here

    REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR STRIKER COVER

    Click here

    REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE

    Click here

    REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM INNER COVER RH

    Click here

    REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM INNER COVER LH

    Click here

    REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH

    
    
    1. 

       Remove the screw.

    2. 

       Remove in this Direction

       Disengage the 3 clips as shown in the illustration.

    3. 

       	Remove in this Direction (1)
       	Remove in this Direction (2)

       Disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

    4. Disengage the guide to remove the rear bumper side retainer LH.

    REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

    Click here

    REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    REMOVE REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER LH

       Remove the screw and rear bumper upper retainer LH.

    REMOVE REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL LH

    
    
    1. 

       Remove the 2 grommets.

    2. 

       for Single Type:

       
       

       1. Remove the 3 clips and rear bumper side seal LH.

    3. 

       for Dual Type:

       
       

       1. Remove the 2 clips and rear bumper side seal LH.

    REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SEAL RH

    
    
    1. 

       Remove the 2 grommets.

    2. 

       Remove the 2 clips and rear bumper side seal RH.

28. Click here

    REMOVE REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER (for Type A)

    
    
    1. 

       Remove in this Direction

       Disengage the 2 guides to remove the rear bumper energy absorber as shown in the illustration.

29. Click here

    REMOVE REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT (for Type A)

    
    
    1. 

       Remove the 6 bolts and rear bumper reinforcement.

    REMOVE REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT (for Type B)

       Remove the 6 bolts and rear bumper reinforcement.
