Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
The following procedure is for the LH side.
PROCEDURE
REMOVE BACK-UP LIGHT BULB (for Bulb Type Back-up Light)
for Type A:

Disconnect in this Direction |
Turn the rear light socket and wire with the back-up light bulb as shown in the illustration to disconnect them as a unit.
Remove the back-up light bulb from the rear light socket and wire.
for Type B:

Disconnect in this Direction |
Turn the rear light socket plug with the back-up light bulb as shown in the illustration to disconnect them as a unit.
Remove the back-up light bulb from the rear light socket plug.
REMOVE REAR LIGHT SOCKET PLUG (for Type B Bulb Type Back-up Light)
REMOVE REAR LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE (for Type A Bulb Type Back-up Light)
Disconnect the connector to remove the rear light socket and wire.
REMOVE REAR LIGHT CORD (for LED Type Back-up Light)
Disconnect the connector to remove the rear light cord.
REMOVE REAR LIGHT PACKING
for Bulb Type Back-up Light:
Remove the rear light packing.
Note
Be sure to remove all traces of the old rear light packing from the vehicle body.
Do not reuse the removed rear light packing. Be sure to install a new rear light packing to prevent water ingress.
for LED Type Back-up Light:
Remove the rear light packing.
Note
Be sure to remove all traces of the old rear light packing from the vehicle body.
Do not reuse the removed rear light packing. Be sure to install a new rear light packing to prevent water ingress.
REMOVE REAR LIGHT LENS AND BODY (for Bulb Type Back-up Light)
