HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY(for LED Type Turn Signal Light) INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH

    Component without harness connected

    (to Headlight ECU Sub-assembly LH)

    Component without harness connected

    (to Headlight Unit LH)

    (to Headlight Lens LH)


    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.


      1. Inspect the headlight leveling motor circuit.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        B-7 (ACTBI) - D-1 Always Below 1 Ω
        B-8 (ACTSI) - D-2 Always Below 1 Ω
        B-17 (ACTGI) - D-3 Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit assembly LH (headlight cord).

      2. Inspect the Lo/Hi beam circuit.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        B-4 (LOLED2) - C-5 Always Below 1 Ω
        B-5 (LOLED1) - C-6 Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit assembly LH (headlight cord).

      3. Inspect the Lo/Hi beam shade circuit.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        B-10 (HI+) - C-10 Always Below 1 Ω
        B-1 (HI-) - C-4 Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit assembly LH (headlight cord).

      4. Inspect the headlight fan circuit.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        B-6 (FANB) - C-12 Always Below 1 Ω
        B-15 (FANP) - C-11 Always Below 1 Ω
        B-14 (FANG) - C-4 Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit assembly LH (headlight cord).

      5. Inspect the clearance light/daytime running light circuit.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        B-20 (DRL+) - E-7 Always Below 1 Ω
        B-11 (DRL-) - E-8 Always Below 1 Ω
        B-16 (PWM1) - E-6 Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit assembly LH (headlight cord).

      6. Inspect the turn signal light circuit.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        B-9 (TURN+) - E-4 Always Below 1 Ω
        B-13 (TURN-) - E-2 Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit assembly LH (headlight cord).

  2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT UNIT LH

    1. Apply battery voltage to the headlight unit LH and check that the Lo/Hi beam shade operates.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 10

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4

      Operates normally

      If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit LH.

  3. INSPECT HEADLIGHT LENS LH

    1. Apply battery voltage to the headlight lens LH and check that the light illuminates.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2

      Clearance light/daytime running light illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight lens LH.

  4. INSPECT HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit assembly RH (headlight cord).

      2. Inspect the Lo/Hi beam circuit.

        B-5 (LOLED1) - C-6 Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit assembly RH (headlight cord).

      3. Inspect the Lo/Hi beam shade circuit.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        B-10 (HI+) - C-10 Always Below 1 Ω
        B-1 (HI-) - C-4 Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit assembly RH (headlight cord).

      4. Inspect the headlight fan circuit.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        B-6 (FANB) - C-12 Always Below 1 Ω
        B-15 (FANP) - C-11 Always Below 1 Ω
        B-14 (FANG) - C-4 Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit assembly RH (headlight cord).

      5. Inspect the clearance light/daytime running light circuit.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        B-20 (DRL+) - E-7 Always Below 1 Ω
        B-11 (DRL-) - E-8 Always Below 1 Ω
        B-16 (PWM1) - E-6 Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit assembly RH (headlight cord).

      6. Inspect the turn signal light circuit.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        B-9 (TURN+) - E-4 Always Below 1 Ω
        B-13 (TURN-) - E-2 Always Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit assembly RH (headlight cord).

  5. INSPECT HEADLIGHT UNIT RH

    1. Apply battery voltage to the headlight unit RH and check that the Lo/Hi beam shade operates.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 10

  6. INSPECT HEADLIGHT LENS RH
