WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. CHECK DOOR OPEN LINKED WIPER SUSPEND FUNCTION


    1. Continuously apply water to the windshield glass in front of the rain sensor.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Move the windshield wiper switch assembly to the AUTO position and check that the front wipers operate.

    4. Open the driver door or front passenger door and check that the front wipers stop.

  2. CHECK SERVICE POSITION CONTROL


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Within approximately 45 seconds of turning the ignition switch off, hold the windshield wiper switch assembly in the MIST position for 2 seconds and confirm that the wipers move to the uppermost position.

  3. CHECK AUTO WIPER FUNCTION


    1. Continuously apply water to the windshield glass in front of the rain sensor.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Move the windshield wiper switch assembly to the AUTO position.

    4. Check that the front wipers operate.

  4. CHECK INTERMITTENT CONTROL FUNCTION

    When the AUTO wiper function is disabled through a customize setting, the intermittent control function can be operated.

    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    2. Move the windshield wiper switch assembly to the AUTO position.

    3. Check that the intermittent operation interval can be adjusted from approximately 4 to 12.5 seconds by operating the auto sensitivity adjustment switch.

  5. CHECK VEHICLE SPEED SENSING TYPE ADJUSTABLE INTERMITTENT WIPER CONTROL

    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    2. Move the windshield wiper switch assembly to the AUTO position.

    3. Check that the intermittent operation interval changes from approximately 1.5 to 11 seconds according to the vehicle speed and the position of the auto sensitivity adjustment switch of the windshield wiper switch assembly.

  6. WASHER OPERATION INSPECTION


    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    2. Washer operation inspection:

      Operate the washer switch for approximately 0.5 seconds or more and confirm that the front wipers operate in the LO setting when the washer fluid is sprayed and that the front wipers cycle 3 times after releasing the washer switch.

    3. Drip prevention wiper function:

      At a vehicle speed of approximately less than 5 km/h (3 mph), check that the front wipers operate for 1 cycle approximately 3 seconds after washer cooperation completes.

  7. HEADLIGHT CLEANER OPERATION INSPECTION (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)


    1. The headlight cleaners operate as follows:

      Headlight Low Beam Windshield Wiper Switch Assembly (Washer Switch)
      First Time Second Time to Fourth Time Sixth Time and Every Five Times
      On Activated Not Activated Activated
      Off Not Activated Not Activated Not Activated

  8. LEVEL WARNING OPERATION INSPECTION (w/ Level Warning Switch)


    1. When the volume of washer fluid decreases to below a certain level (when the level warning switch is turned on), the multi-information display warns the driver by displaying a message.
