OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR GLASS REMOVAL

  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR


    1. B004LPIC01
      B006Y8C Protective Tape
      B006ZFL Move in this Direction

      Apply protective tape to the areas shown in the illustration.

    2. Push the upper part of the mirror surface and tilt it.

    3. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws on the lower part of the outer mirror as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Do not push the outer mirror with excessive force. Doing so may cause the actuator to come off or break the mirror surface.

    4. Push the lower part of the mirror surface and tilt it.

    5. w/o Blind Spot Monitor System and Mirror Heater:

        B006ZFL Move in this Direction

        Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws on the upper part of the outer mirror as shown in the illustration to remove the outer mirror.

        Note

        Do not push the outer mirror with excessive force. Doing so may cause the actuator to come off or break the mirror surface.

    6. w/ Blind Spot Monitor System:

        B006ZFL Move in this Direction

        Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws on the upper part of the outer mirror as shown in the illustration.

        Note

        Do not push the outer mirror with excessive force. Doing so may cause the actuator to come off or break the mirror surface.

        B006ZFL Push in this Direction

        Disengage the claw as shown in the illustration.

      3. B004KUW

        Disengage the clamp.

      4. Disconnect the connector to remove the outer mirror.

    7. w/ Mirror Heater:

        B006ZFL Move in this Direction

        Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws on the upper part of the outer mirror as shown in the illustration.

        Note

        Do not push the outer mirror with excessive force. Doing so may cause the actuator to come off or break the mirror surface.

      2. B004NJH

        Disconnect the connector to remove the outer mirror.
