OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR

2. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR COVER WITH OUTER MIRROR HOLE COVER

   Click here

3. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR COVER

   Click here

4. REMOVE NO. 2 OUTER MIRROR COVER

   
   

   1. 

      Disengage the 2 claws and 2 guides to remove the No. 2 outer mirror cover.

5. REMOVE SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY

6. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR RETRACTOR (w/ Power Retract Mirror)

   
   

   1.

      Cut here

      Cut the wire harness sub-assembly at the position shown in the illustration.

   2. 

      *a	Clamp
      *b	Guide

      Disengage the clamp.

   3. Remove the screw.

   4. Disengage the and guide and remove the bracket.

   5. 

      Disengage the 8 guides and remove the gasket sub-assembly.

      Note

      Make sure to replace the gasket sub-assembly with a new one.

   6. 

      Disengage the 8 claws and guide to remove the lower cover.

      Note

      Make sure to replace the lower cover with a new one.

   7. 

      Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws and base sub-assembly.

      Note

      Make sure to replace the screw with a new one.

   8. 

      Remove the 3 screws.

   9. 

      Disconnect the connector.

   10. Disengage the 2 clamps.

   11. 

       Disconnect the connector to remove the actuator sub-assembly.

   12. 

       Remove in this Direction

       Pull the wire harness sub-assembly through the frame sub-assembly as shown in the illustration to remove the wire harness sub-assembly.

       Note

       Make sure to replace the wire harness sub-assembly with a new one.

   13. 

       Remove the 2 screws.

   14. 

       Remove the 2 screws and frame sub-assembly from the housing.

       Note

       Make sure to replace the frame sub-assembly with a new one.
