WINDOW DEFOGGER SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. CHECK WINDOW DEFOGGER SYSTEM


    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    2. Check that the rear window defogger wire becomes warm by operating the rear window defogger switch of the radio and display receiver assembly*1 or air conditioning control assembly*2.


      • *1: for 8 Inch Display


      • *2: except 8 Inch Display

    3. When the vehicle is stopped, confirm that the window defogger system operation stops after approximately 15 minutes.

      Note

      If the battery voltage is low, the window defogger system may not operate due to operation of battery load control, check the Data List item "Battery Control Count (Body ECU)".

      Tech Tips


      • If both of the following conditions are met after approximately 15 minutes from when the window defogger system was activated, the window defogger system continues to operate up to approximately 45 minutes. If the following conditions are not met, the window defogger system stops operating immediately.


        • The outside temperature is -3°C (27°F) or lower.


        • Power generated by the generator assembly installed to the vehicle is stable.

      • The window defogger system is linked with the mirror heater function.*
