REAR SUNSHADE SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. CHECK MANUAL OPERATION


    1. Using the multi-information display:


      1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      2. With the rear window shade assembly lowered, select Close on the rear sunshade screen of the multi-information display. Check that the rear window shade assembly is raised.

      3. With the rear window shade assembly raised, select Open on the rear sunshade screen of the multi-information display. Check that the rear window shade assembly is lowered.

    2. Using the rear sunshade switch (cooler control switch assembly):


      1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      2. With the rear window shade assembly lowered, touch the rear sunshade switch (cooler control switch assembly). Check that the rear window shade assembly is raised.

      3. With the rear window shade assembly raised, touch the rear sunshade switch (cooler control switch assembly). Check that the rear window shade assembly is lowered.

  2. CHECK KEY-OFF OPERATION


    1. Turn the ignition switch from ON to off. Check that the rear window shade assembly can be operated for up to 72 seconds.

    2. Turn the ignition switch from ON to off and wait for 73 seconds. Check that the rear window shade assembly cannot be operated.

  3. CHECK SHIFT-LINKED OPERATION

    The shift-linked operation of the rear sunshade system operates only when the customize setting "R-pos to Rear Sun Shade COM" is set to "ON".

    1. Start the engine.

    2. When the rear window shade assembly is raised, move the shift lever to R. Check that the rear window shade assembly is lowered.

    3. When any of the following conditions is met, check that the rear window shade assembly is raised.


      • The shift lever is moved to P.

      • The shift lever is moved to D and vehicle speed reaches 15 km/h (9.3 mph) or more.

      • Ignition switch off.
