REAR SUNSHADE SYSTEM SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


  1. GENERAL

    The rear sunshade system has the following functions: manual operation, shift-linked operation and key-off operation.

  2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT

    Component Outline
    Rear window shade assembly Uses the built-in rear sunshade relay to control the operation direction of the motor to raise or lower the rear window shade.

    • Combination meter assembly

    • Rear sunshade switch (cooler control switch assembly)*

    Sends operation signals to the rear sunshade relay.

  3. SYSTEM OPERATION

    The rear sunshade system has the following features.

    Manual operation
    • Function that causes the rear window shade assembly to raise or lower when Open or Close is selected on the rear sunshade screen of the multi-information display.

    • Function that causes the rear window shade assembly to raise or lower when the rear sunshade switch (cooler control switch assembly) is touched.

    Shift-linked operation

    Function that causes the rear window shade assembly to lower when the shift lever is moved to R with the rear window shade assembly raised.

    When any of the following are performed, the rear window shade assembly is raised:


    • The shift lever is moved to P.

    • The shift lever is moved to D and vehicle speed reaches 15 km/h (9.3 mph) or more.

    • Ignition switch is turned off.

    Key-off operation Function that makes it possible to operate the rear window shade assembly for up to 72 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to ACC or off.
