PROCEDURE
REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT
REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

Remove the screw and air duct sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE ION GENERATOR WITH BRACKET
for LHD:
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the 2 screws.
Disengage the 2 guides to remove the ion generator with bracket.
for RHD:
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the 2 screws.
Disengage the 2 guides to remove the ion generator with bracket.
REMOVE AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

Remove the screw and air duct sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE ION GENERATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the 3 screws and ion generator sub-assembly from the No. 1 ion generator bracket.
