FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SEAT) (w/o Occupant Classification System)

   

   *a	Component without harness connected (Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly (Driver Seat))

   
   

   1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 3 - 2 Driver side seat belt unfastened Below 1 Ω 3 - 2 Driver side seat belt fastened 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat inner belt assembly (driver seat).

2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (FRONT PASSENGER SEAT) (w/o Occupant Classification System, w/ Front Passenger Seat Belt Warning System)

   

   *A	for LHD
   *B	for RHD
   *a	Component without harness connected (Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly (Front Passenger Seat))

   
   

   1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below (seat belt warning switch).

      Standard Resistance
      for LHD Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition R71-3 - R71-2 Front passenger side seat belt unfastened Below 1 Ω Front passenger side seat belt fastened 10 kΩ or higher
      for RHD Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition R70-3 - R70-2 Front passenger side seat belt unfastened Below 1 Ω Front passenger side seat belt fastened 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat inner belt assembly (front passenger seat).

   2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below (occupant detection sensor line).

      Standard Resistance
      for LHD Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition R71-5 - B-1 Always Below 1 Ω R71-4 - B-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      for RHD Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition R70-5 - B-1 Always Below 1 Ω R70-4 - B-3 Always Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat inner belt assembly (front passenger seat).
