REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY(for Fold Down Seat Type) INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Place the rear side seatback assembly LH in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Engage the hook and install the rear side seatback assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

    3. w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Connect the connector.

    4. Connect the rear seat outer belt LH to the rear seat shoulder belt guide LH.

  2. CONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

  3. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  4. CONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

  5. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Place the rear seatback assembly LH in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Engage the 2 guides.

    3. Install the rear seatback assembly LH with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      36.8 N*m  { 375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

    4. Engage the fastener.

    5. Return the rear seatback assembly LH to its original position.

  6. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Place the rear seatback assembly RH in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Engage the 2 guides.

    3. Install the rear seatback assembly RH with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      36.8 N*m  { 375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

    4. Engage the fastener.

    5. Return the rear seatback assembly RH to its original position.

  7. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK

      Engage the 2 claws to install a new rear seat cushion lock hook as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  8. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY


    1. Place the rear seat cushion assembly in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

      *b Rear Seat Cushion Frame Hook (Rear Side)
      B006ZFL Install in this Direction (1)
      B006WSJ Install in this Direction (2)

      Engage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the rear side of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration.

    3. Engage the 2 rear seat cushion frame hooks on the front side of the rear seat cushion assembly as shown in the illustration to install the rear seat cushion assembly.

      Note

      Confirm that the rear seat cushion assembly is securely installed.

  9. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Removable Headrest)


    1. Install the rear seat headrest assembly LH.

  10. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Removable Headrest)


    1. Install the rear seat headrest assembly RH.

  11. CONNECT REAR CENTER SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

      Connect the rear center seat outer belt assembly as shown in the illustration.

  12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)

  13. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)

  14. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)
