Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The following procedure is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL POWER SEAT TILT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Vertical Adjuster)


    1. B0070UQN01

      Install the power seat tilt motor assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Bolt (A) is shorter than bolt (B). Make sure to install them to the correct positions.

  2. INSTALL POWER SEAT LIFTER MOTOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Vertical Adjuster)


    1. Install the power seat lifter motor assembly.

        *a Stud Bolt of the Front Seat Vertical Housing Sub-assembly
        *b Hole of the Front Seat Adjuster Assembly
        *c Front Seat Vertical Housing Sub-assembly
        *d Front Seat Adjuster Assembly

        Install the front seat vertical housing sub-assembly.

        Note


        • Make sure to insert the stud bolt of the front seat vertical housing sub-assembly into the hole of the front seat adjuster assembly as shown in the illustration.

        • Make sure to position the front seat adjuster assembly so that when the front seat vertical housing sub-assembly is installed, their gears will be positioned as shown in the illustration.

        Install the vertical adjuster spacer.

      3. B006X67N01

        Install the front seat adjuster plate with the 3 nuts.

        Torque:
        5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

        Note

        Tighten the nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

      Engage the claw to install the front seat lower cushion shield.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION WIRE HARNESS HOLDER (w/o Vertical Adjuster)

      Engage the claw to install the front seat cushion wire harness holder.

    2. Install the 2 screws.

  5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION WIRE HARNESS HOLDER (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

      Engage the guide as shown in the illustration.

    2. Engage the 2 claws to install the front seat cushion wire harness holder.

      Install the 2 screws.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. B006XIB

      Engage the 6 hooks to install the front seat cushion spring sub-assembly to the front seat adjuster assembly.

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT NO. 3 WIRE (w/ Occupant Classification System)

      Engage the claw to install the front seat No. 3 wire.

  8. INSTALL SEAT SLIDE POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR (w/ Occupant Classification System)

      B006WSJ Insert in this Direction

      Insert the seat slide position sensor protector as shown in the illustration.

    2. Engage the seat slide position sensor protector to the pin of the seat position airbag sensor as shown in the illustration.

      Engage the clamp and connect the connector.

  9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE


    1. Connect each connector and engage each clamp to install the front seat wire.

  11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

  16. INSTALL RH SEAT RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH (w/o Vertical Adjuster)

      Engage the claw and clamp.

  17. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER ASSEMBLY (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

      Engage the hook.

    2. Install the seat cushion climate control blower assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Connect the connector and engage the wire harness clamp.

  19. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

      Engage the 14 claws to install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad.

  20. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. Engage the 10 hooks to install the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad to the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly.

  21. INSTALL FRONT SEAT NO. 2 WIRE


    1. Connect each connector and engage each clamp to install the front seat No. 2 wire.

  22. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SEATBACK HOOK

      Install the 2 front No. 2 seatback hooks to the front seatback frame sub-assembly.

  23. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR


    1. w/o Vertical Adjuster:


      1. Install the 2 front seatback edge protectors to the front seatback spring sub-assembly.

    2. w/ Vertical Adjuster:


      1. Install the 2 front seatback edge protectors to the lumbar support adjuster assembly.

  25. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Vertical Adjuster)

      Engage the 2 claws to install the 2 front seatback edge protectors to the front seatback frame sub-assembly.

  26. INSTALL SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

      Engage the 2 claws and 2 hooks and install the seatback climate control blower.

    2. Connect the connector and engage the wire harness clamp.

      Engage the 9 claws to install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad.

  30. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD


    1. Install the separate type front seatback cover with pad.

  31. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

      Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    2. w/o Rear Seat Belt Warning System:

        Slide the bracket as shown in the illustration to engage the hook to the seat cover hanger.

        Note


        • For vehicles with a front seat airbag assembly, the separate type front seatback cover with pad must be securely installed. Otherwise, the front seat airbag assembly may not deploy properly.

        • Make sure that the strap is not twisted after connecting the bracket to the seat cover hanger.

        • Install the bracket securely.

  32. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

    2. Install the separate type front seatback assembly to the separate type front seat cushion assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      2. Engage the clamp.

      1. Engage the 2 guides and claw to install the lower No. 3 seat track spacer to the front seat cushion shield.
