DESCRIPTION

Output to the front seat cushion heater temperature sensor stops if one of the following occurs: 1) the temperature sensor is open or shorted; or 2) the temperature sensor is damaged and its output value does not change.

    1. Clear the DTCs.


      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Clear DTCs

    1. Check for DTCs.


      Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Trouble Codes
      OK
      DTC B14C1 is not output.

  3. INSPECT FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Remove the front seat cushion heater assembly LH.

    2. Inspect the front seat cushion heater assembly LH.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH)


    1. Disconnect the b6 front seat cushion heater assembly LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the K55 and K56 air conditioning amplifier assembly connectors.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K56-17 (TSL) - b6-4 Always Below 1 Ω
      K56-17 (TSL) or b6-4 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K55-8 (SG-5) - b6-5 Always Below 1 Ω
      K55-8 (SG-5) or b6-5 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
