PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM UTILITY

Note

  • When replacing the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a millimeter wave radar sensor assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in it will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.

  • If the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly has been replaced, be sure to perform millimeter wave radar sensor assembly adjustment.

  1. Control Mode

    Tech Tips

    • This mode is used to check the operation of the pre-collision system when reproducing situations when the pre-collision system operated unnecessarily.

    • Operating the pre-collision brake assist control or pre-collision braking control when reproducing problem symptoms may lead to a dangerous situation. To avoid this, do not attempt to operate the pre-collision braking control, only operate the pre-collision warning control (buzzer and warning message) when reproducing the problem symptoms.
