PROCEDURE

    INSTALL NO. 5 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE (w/o Occupant Classification System)

      *a Airbag Connector
      *b Airbag Connector Locking Button
      B006ZFL Push in this Direction

      Connect the airbag connector of the No. 5 instrument panel wire to the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.

      Note:

      When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

    2. Push in the airbag connector locking button as shown in the illustration to install the airbag connector to the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.

    INSTALL NO. 5 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE (w/ Occupant Classification System)

      *b Airbag Connector Locking Button
      B006ZFL Push in this Direction

      Connect the 2 airbag connectors of the No. 5 instrument panel wire to the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.

      Note:

      • When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

      • Be sure to only connect the connectors to each corresponding color.

    2. Push in the 2 airbag connector locking buttons as shown in the illustration to install the 2 airbag connectors to the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.

    INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/o Occupant Classification System)

      Engage the 3 hooks.

    2. B006ZSW

      Push in the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly to engage the 3 hooks.

    3. B006ZR1

      Install the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly with the 2 screws.

    4. Engage the clamp.

    INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Occupant Classification System)

      Engage the 3 hooks.

    2. B006YIC

      Push in the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly to engage the 3 hooks.

    3. B006Y1M

      Install the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly with the 2 screws.

    4. Engage the clamp.

    INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY

    CONNECT NO. 5 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE (w/o Occupant Classification System)


    1. Check that the ignition switch is off.

    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      CAUTION:
      B006XLM

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      Connect the connector.

      Note:

      When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

    CONNECT NO. 5 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE (w/ Occupant Classification System)


    1. Check that the ignition switch is off.

    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      Connect the connector.

      Note:

      When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
