  1. ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM


    1. The illuminated entry system has the following control functions:

      Control Outline Lights that Operate
      Actuation Area-linked*1 When a registered key is brought within any vehicle exterior detection area around the doors, the lights that operate turn on.
      • Map Light (Roof Console Box Sub-assembly)

      • Spot Light Assembly

      • Footwell Light (No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly)*3

      • Front Door Inside Handle Illumination Light (No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly)*4

      • Rear Door Inside Handle Illumination Light (No. 2 Interior Illumination Light Assembly)*5

      • Instrument Panel Ambient Illumination Light (Instrument Panel Light Assembly)*6

      Door Lock/Unlock-linked When any door is unlocked, the lights that operate turn on.
      • Ignition Key Cylinder Light (Transponder Key Coil)*2

      • Map Light (Roof Console Box Sub-assembly)

      • Spot Light Assembly

      • Footwell Light (No. 1 Interior Illumination Light Assembly)*3

      When the ignition switch is turned from off to ACC or ON, the lights that operate turn off.
      Shift Position-linked When the shift lever is moved from P to any other position, the lights that operate dim.

      Delay

      When approximately 15 seconds elapse after any of the following conditions is met, the lights that operate turn off:


      • An actuation area-linked function is used.*1

      • The door unlock-linked function is active.

      • Any door is opened and then all doors are closed when the ignition switch is off.

      • The ignition switch is turned from ACC or ON to off when all doors are closed.

      When approximately 40 seconds elapse after any of the following conditions is met, the lights that operate turn off:


      • Any door is opened and then all doors are closed when the engine switch is off.

      • The engine switch is turned from on (ACC) or on (IG) to off when all doors are closed.

  2. BATTERY SAVING CONTROL SYSTEM


    1. The battery saving function has the following control functions:

      Control Condition Lights that Operate
      Basic operation

      When 20 minutes elapse after the ignition switch is turned from ACC or ON to off and the lights that operate remain on, the lights are turned off.

      Tip:

      Battery saving control is canceled when any of the following operations is performed before the lights are turned off by battery saving control. After the operation is performed, the lights remain on for another 20 minutes and then the lights are turned off.


      • The ignition switch is turned ACC or ON.

      • Any door is opened and closed.

      • The luggage compartment door is opened and closed.

      • Any door is unlocked.

      • The key enters any exterior actuation area.*1

      Interior light auto cut operation

      When 20 minutes elapse after the ignition switch is turned from ACC or ON to off and the lights that operate remain on, the lights are turned off.

      Tip:

      Battery saving control is canceled when any of the following operations is performed before the lights are turned off by battery saving control. After the operation is performed, the lights remain on for another 20 minutes and then the lights are turned off.


      • The ignition switch is turned ACC or ON.
