GENERATOR REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the generator assembly removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT

  6. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

      Open the terminal cap.

    2. Remove the nut and disconnect the wire harness from terminal B.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts.

      Disconnect the generator assembly connector.

    5. Disconnect the compressor assembly with magnetic clutch connector.

    6. Disconnect the camshaft timing oil control solenoid assembly connector.

    7. Disengage the 3 wire harness clamps and remove the wire harness clamp bracket.

      Remove the 2 bolts and generator assembly bracket.

      Remove the 2 bolts and generator assembly.
