GENERATOR REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the generator assembly removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  3. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

  4. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE E.F.I. VACUUM SENSOR ASSEMBLY (MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR)

  6. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT

  7. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the generator assembly connector.

    2. Open the terminal cap.

    3. Remove the nut and disconnect the wire harness from terminal B.

    4. Remove the bolt and separate the wire harness clamp bracket from the generator assembly.

    5. B006YGX

      Remove the 2 nuts and loosen the bolt.

    6. Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts.

    7. Remove the bolt and generator assembly.
