The ECM communicates with the generator assembly via LIN communication. If a LIN communication error is detected, the ECM stores this DTC.

    1. Check the charging system.

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CHARGING SYSTEM

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - GENERATOR ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the C58 ECM connector.

    2. Disconnect the C60 generator assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C58-31 (LIN) - C60-2 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω
      C58-31 (LIN) or C60-2 (LIN) - body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
