AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM MirrorLink Sound cannot be Heard

  • Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precaution for Audio and Visual System.

  • When replacing the radio and display receiver assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a radio and display receiver assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the following may occur:


    • A communication malfunction DTC may be stored.

    • The radio and display receiver assembly may not operate normally.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK SMARTPHONE SETTINGS


    1. Check the MirrorLink compatible smartphone settings.


      1. Check that the volume is not set to "0".

      2. Check that mute is off.

    2. Check that the sound of the MirrorLink compatible smartphone can be heard.

      Tech Tips

      Restarting the smartphone may return the application operation to normal.

  2. CHECK SMARTPHONE


    1. Check if sounds can be heard from the MirrorLink compatible smartphone when a MirrorLink compatible application is running and it is disconnected from the head unit.

      Tech Tips

      Restarting the smartphone may return the application operation to normal.

  3. CHECK APPLICATION RUNNING STATUS


    1. Connect the smartphone to the head unit with a MirrorLink compatible application running and check if the MirrorLink function can be used and sounds can be heard.

      Tech Tips

      The MirrorLink function may not start if the application is not running.
