VACUUM WARNING SWITCH ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR

  2. INSPECT BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY

    for LHD: Click here

    for RHD: Click here

  3. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  4. REMOVE FRONT CENTER UPPER SUSPENSION BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

    Click here

  5. INSPECT VACUUM WARNING SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Start the engine and stop it after 1 or 2 minutes.

    2. for LHD:


      1. Remove the battery.

        for A25A-FKS: Click here

        for 2GR-FKS: Click here

    3. Disconnect the connector from the vacuum warning switch assembly.

    4. Measure the resistance of the vacuum warning switch assembly.

      Standard Resistance
      10 kΩ or higher
    5. With the engine stopped, depress the brake pedal several times to release vacuum from the brake booster assembly, and measure the resistance of the vacuum warning switch assembly.

      Standard Resistance
      Below 1 Ω
    6. Connect the connector to the vacuum warning switch assembly.

    7. for LHD:


      1. Install the battery.

  6. INSTALL FRONT CENTER UPPER SUSPENSION BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  7. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)
