VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM Brake Warning Light does not Come ON

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is connected to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.

  • When replacing the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), perform system variant learning and acceleration zero point calibration.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output.

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (BRAKE WARNING LIGHT)


    1. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Active Test.


      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRC > Active Test
      Tester Display Measurement Item Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Brake Warning Light Brake system warning light (red indicator) Warning light OFF/ON Observe combination meter assembly

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRC > Data List
      Tester Display Measurement Item Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      Brake Warning Light Brake system warning light (red indicator) ON or OFF

      ON: Warning light on

      OFF: Warning light off

      		 -

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRC > Active Test
      Active Test Display
      Brake Warning Light
      Data List Display
      Brake Warning Light

    2. Check the operating condition of the brake system warning light (red indicator) when operating it using the GTS.

  3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.

    2. Perform the Active Test of the combination meter assembly using the GTS.


      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Active Test
      Tester Display
      Brake Warning

    3. Check the combination meter assembly.

      OK
      The brake system warning light (red indicator) turns on or off in accordance with GTS operation.
