COMBINATION SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH (ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY) (for LHD)


    1. Inspect the NORMAL mode switch:


      1. B0070R1C29
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Combination Switch (Electric Parking Brake Switch Assembly))

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        13 (B) - 16 (GND1) NORMAL mode switch being pushed and held Below 1 Ω
        NORMAL mode switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch (electric parking brake switch assembly).

    2. Inspect the SPORT mode switch:


      1. B0070R1C30
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Combination Switch (Electric Parking Brake Switch Assembly))

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        12 (P) - 16 (GND1) SPORT mode switch being pushed and held Below 1 Ω
        SPORT mode switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch (electric parking brake switch assembly).

    3. Inspect the illumination:


      1. B0070R1C31
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Combination Switch (Electric Parking Brake Switch Assembly))

        Apply battery voltage to the combination switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) and check that the switch illuminates.

        OK
        Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (ILL+)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 7 (ILL-)

        Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch (electric parking brake switch assembly).

  2. INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH (ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY) (for RHD)


    1. Inspect the NORMAL mode switch:


      1. B0070R1C48
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Combination Switch (Electric Parking Brake Switch Assembly))

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        12 (B) - 9 (GND1) NORMAL mode switch being pushed and held Below 1 Ω
        NORMAL mode switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch (electric parking brake switch assembly).

    2. Inspect the SPORT mode switch:


      1. B0070R1C49
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Combination Switch (Electric Parking Brake Switch Assembly))

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        13 (P) - 9 (GND1) SPORT mode switch being pushed and held Below 1 Ω
        SPORT mode switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch (electric parking brake switch assembly).

    3. Inspect the illumination:


      1. B0070R1C50
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Combination Switch (Electric Parking Brake Switch Assembly))

        Apply battery voltage to the combination switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) and check that the switch illuminates.

        OK
        Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 6 (ILL+)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (ILL-)

        Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the combination switch (electric parking brake switch assembly).
