DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) sends signals such as cruise control cancel signals and brake demand response signals to the ECM when the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating.

P1630 Communication Error from VSC to ECM While the vehicle speed is 5 km/h (3 mph) or more and the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, communication data from the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is logically inconsistent for approximately 1 second or more.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTCs (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)


    1. Check for DTCs.


      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRC > Trouble Codes

  2. CHECK FOR DTCs (CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM)


    1. Clear the DTCs.


      Powertrain > Radar Cruise1 > Clear DTCs

    2. Perform the following procedure.

      Tech Tips

      If the following procedure is not performed, the previously output DTC cannot be detected.


      1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      2. Turn the dynamic radar cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch.

      3. Drive the vehicle at 5 km/h (3 mph) or more for 1 second or more.

    3. Check for DTCs.
