DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a malfunction is detected in the vehicle stability control system.

P1578 Brake System While the engine switch is on (IG) and the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, a malfunction in the vehicle stability control system is detected for 0.2 seconds or more.

  • First check the CAN communication system by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. After checking that there are no malfunctions in the CAN communication system, proceed with troubleshooting.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTCs (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)


    1. Check for DTCs.


      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRC > Trouble Codes

  2. CHECK FOR DTCs (CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM)


    1. Clear the DTCs.


      Powertrain > Radar Cruise1 > Clear DTCs

    2. Perform the following procedure.

      Tech Tips

      If the following procedure is not performed, the previously output DTC cannot be detected.


      1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      2. Turn the dynamic radar cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch.

      3. Wait for 1 second or more.

    3. Check for DTCs.
