ENGINE OIL COOLER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Clean the installation surfaces of the oil cooler assembly.

   2. Apply a small amount of engine oil to 3 new gaskets.

   3. Install the 3 gaskets to the oil cooler assembly.

   4. Temporarily install the oil cooler assembly to the water inlet housing with the oil cooler union bolt, nut and a new seal washer.

   5. 

      *1	Oil Cooler Union Bolt
      *2	Seal Washer

      Using several steps, uniformly install and tighten the oil cooler union bolt and nut in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:

      Oil Cooler Union Bolt

      60 N*m  { 612 kgf*cm, 44 ft.*lbf }

      Nut

      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

2. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD CONVERTER SUB-ASSEMBLY (TWC: Front Catalyst)

3. INSTALL ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE

4. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

5. ADD ENGINE OIL

6. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

7. CHECK ENGINE OIL LEVEL
