RADIATOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT

   
   

   1. Install the 2 lower radiator supports to the radiator assembly.

2. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION

   
   

   1. Install the 2 radiator support cushions to the radiator assembly.

3. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Engage the 2 guides.

   2. Engage the 2 claws to install the fan with motor assembly to the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when installing the fan with motor assembly.

   3. Install the radiator assembly with the fan with motor assembly to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Do not apply excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or pipe when installing the radiator assembly with the fan with motor assembly.

   4. 

      *a	Lock Lever

      Engage the wire harness clamp.

   5. Connect the cooling fan motor connector and push down the lock lever to engage the claw as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      
      

      • When connecting the cooling fan motor connector, make sure that the connecting parts of the cooling fan motor connector are free of dirt, water or other foreign matter.

      • Be sure to securely connect the cooling fan motor connector.

   6. Engage the 2 guides.

   7. Engage the 2 claws to install the cooler condenser assembly to the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Make sure not to damage the cooler condenser assembly when installing the cooler condenser assembly.

4. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

   
   

   1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

5. CONNECT NO. 1 OIL COOLER TUBE WITHOUT HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Cooled Oil Cooler)

   
   

   1. Engage the claw.

   2. Connect the No. 1 oil cooler tube without hose sub-assembly to the fan with motor assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:

      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

6. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

   
   

   1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

   2. Engage the clamp to connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the fan with motor assembly.

7. CONNECT NO. 6 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

   
   

   1. Connect the No. 6 water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly.

8. CONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

   
   

   1. Connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

9. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:

      12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

   2. Engage the clamp to connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

   3. Engage the clamp to connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

10. INSTALL OIL COOLER BRACKET (w/ Air Cooled Oil Cooler)

    
    

    1. Engage the 2 claws and temporarily install the oil cooler bracket with the 2 bolts.

    2. Fully tighten the 2 bolts.

       Torque:

       5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

11. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH (w/o Air Cooled Oil Cooler)

    
    

    1. Engage the guide and claw.

    2. Install the No. 1 radiator air guide RH with the clip.

12. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH (w/ Air Cooled Oil Cooler)

    
    

    1. Engage the claw.

    2. Install the No. 1 radiator air guide RH with the clip.

13. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH (w/o Air Cooled Oil Cooler)

    
    

    1. Engage the guide and claw.

    2. Install the No. 1 radiator air guide LH with the front radiator side air guide plate LH with the clip.

14. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH (w/ Air Cooled Oil Cooler)

    
    

    1. Engage the claw.

    2. Install the No. 1 radiator air guide LH with the clip.

15. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR MOUNTING BRACKET

    
    

    1. Install the 2 upper radiator mounting brackets with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

       Torque:

       12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

    2. Connect the 2 horn connectors.

16. INSTALL INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

18. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

19. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

20. INSTALL THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY

21. INSTALL OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Cooled Oil Cooler)

22. CONNECT OIL COOLER HOSE (w/ Air Cooled Oil Cooler)

23. INSTALL FRONT RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE LH (w/ Air Cooled Oil Cooler)

24. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BUMPER ABSORBER (w/ Air Cooled Oil Cooler)

25. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY

    for LED Type Turn Signal Light: Click here

26. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

27. ADJUST AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID

28. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

29. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
