EGR COOLER REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during EGR cooler assembly removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

  4. REMOVE EGR COOLER ASSEMBLY

      *1 Water Hose Connector Sub-assembly
      *2 No. 3 Water By-pass Hose

      Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the water hose connector sub-assembly and No. 3 water by-pass hose from the EGR cooler assembly.

    2. B006YCM

      Remove the 5 bolts and EGR cooler assembly from the cylinder head sub-assembly and EGR valve assembly.

    3. B006ZR3

      Remove the EGR valve gasket from the EGR valve assembly.

    4. B006YKW

      Remove the EGR cooler gasket from the EGR cooler assembly.
