PROCEDURE
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
REMOVE EGR COOLER ASSEMBLY
DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE

Disconnect the No. 5 engine wire connector.
Disconnect the EGR valve assembly connector.
Remove the bolt.
Disengage the 2 wire harness clamps and disconnect the engine wire.
REMOVE NO. 1 EGR PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the 4 bolts and No. 1 EGR pipe sub-assembly from the intake manifold and EGR valve assembly.
Remove the EGR valve adapter gasket from the No. 1 EGR pipe sub-assembly.
Remove the EGR inlet gasket from the intake manifold.
REMOVE EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY
Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 8 water by-pass hose from the EGR valve assembly.

Pull off |
Remove the water hose connector sub-assembly from the EGR valve assembly.
Pinch the retainer of the water hose connector sub-assembly and then pull out the retainer to disengage the lock claws and pull off the water hose connector sub-assembly.
Remove the 2 bolts and EGR cooler bracket from the EGR valve bracket and water outlet.
Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the bolt and disconnect the fuel pipe sub-assembly from the EGR valve bracket.
Using the 8 mm socket wrench, remove the bolt.

Remove the EGR valve assembly with the EGR valve bracket from the camshaft housing vertically.
Using the 8 mm socket wrench, remove the bolt and EGR valve assembly from the EGR valve bracket.
