  1. INSPECT CAM TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY

      Component without harness connected

      (Cam Timing Oil Control Solenoid Assembly)

      Apply battery voltage to the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly and check that the plunger operates.

      OK
      The plunger extends outwards 4.2 mm (0.165 in.) or more.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly.
