IGNITION COIL AND SPARK PLUG REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the ignition coil assembly or spark plug removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the 4 ignition coil assembly connectors.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts and 4 ignition coil assemblies from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

      Note

      If an ignition coil assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      Arrange the removed parts in the correct order.
